Week 24: Passages 1076-1129
I'm sorry I am way late posting this weeks readings, I had to fly out to New Jersey for my mother's back surgery. She is recovering well, please pray for her continued battle with cancer. I'll post this week's readings by Monday. Hopefully.
The Father is the source of blessings. He blesses the faithful as the source of creation. He is also the source of salvation through Christ and the Holy Spirit.
Christ acts through the sacraments to give grace. He gave His Apostles the Holy Spirit and their successors (that’s us!) so they could continue His mission.
The sacraments give Glory to God and they give the graces they signify.
My God, I firmly believe that Thou art here present and I humbly adore Thee in union with the angels and saints. I am sorry for having sinned, because Thou art infinitely good and sin displeases Thee.I love Thee above all things and with my whole heart. I offer Thee all that I am and all that I have, my soul with all its faculties, my body with all its senses.Enlighten my understanding and inflame my will, that I may know and do what is pleasing to Thee. I beseech Thee to direct all the powers of my soul, all my thoughts and affections to Thy service and Thy glory as well as to my own sanctification and salvation.
About this blog
I am a wife and homeschooling mom of four and Catholic convert who has always had the good intention of reading through the Catechism, but haven't been able to pull it off. This blog is my accountability. I hope you'll join me as I read my way through the CCC from April 2008 to Easter 2009! I will post weekly assigned readings and my notes/muddled mommy brain thoughts on them. I welcome (and beg for!) comments and guest postings! Please join me on this exciting journey into the beautiful teachings of our faith!
