Introductions

I'm getting excited about this! Let's introduce ourselves, before we get started. If you want leave a comment with some info about yourself, how many kids you have, what you hope to get out of reading the catechism, how you found my site, etc! Just remember this is the internet so nothing too personal :) I think everyone knows me, or if you don't check out my homeschooling blog: GrayFamilyCircus.
I'll post the first reading April 7th. I am planning to use the printable Guide from CHN and just cover seven days of reading in a week. So if you want to do daily readings or read ahead go ahead and print that out, you could also use it to check off what we have covered. The guide also has daily Scripture readings, but I think we'll just stick with the catechism here.
So are you in? Post a comment below!

HI, I'm Theresa. I have 5 kids (2 grown) and 2 grandkids.I blog at LaPaz Home Learning.
I think this is a neat idea. I am not sure what I hope to get out of it, except perhaps a bit of motivation!I am a total slacker and having someone to chat with about this might make me stick to it better.

Hello! My name's Leah. I have 5 and one on the way. Our blog is http://RamFamInNOVA.blogspot.com/
I found this through the 4real learning forum, where I post as RamFam. I hope to learn more about the Catholic Church, as I am a fairly new convert. Thanks for this community!

Hello there, I'm Audrey, mom to Henry (4/06) and Clare (12/07.)

I've read through the catechism before but desperately need a refresher--thanks for the forum, Andrea!! Saw your post on your Family blog.

Hi, I'm Carol. I have 3 sons (ages 19,16 and 15). My blog is at http://cmm-chezmoi.blogspot.com/

I decided on Monday of Holy Week this year that it was finally time for me to return to the Church. (Looong story, but my family left it 30 years ago when I was 8.)

We checked out the Catechism from the public library a week or so ago and I've been reading it off and on since then. I LOVE the idea of reading it in community and especially of being able to discuss it!

Thanks so much for this wonderful opportunity!!

Hi, I'm Meredith from Sweetness and Light, and I'm like Theresa when it comes to prayer, I tend to slack on it, but I like her would LOVE to chat and learn along with ya'll. I am not a convert but as a cradle Catholic with only one parent that is a Catholic it is extremely important to both my dh and I (both cradle Caths) to raise our children accordingly. We have four lovely little souls here on earth in our care and two precious souls in heaven. So happy to be here and Andrea, I got to hand it to ya, thank you!

Hi, I'm Patty. I have two kids, one homeschooled dd and one Catholic-schooled ds. I've been meaning to read through the CCC for a while now, and I've printed out the schedule you're proposing, but like others, I haven't stuck to the program. Looking forward to it!

Carol- I think you'll enjoy having your own copy to mark up!
Welcome to everyone! I am so excited to see some new faces and some familiar ones :) Thanks for joining me in this endeavour, I am looking forward to the learning and discussion this year will bring.

Hi,
I am a neighbor of Andrea's and she puts me to shame with her enthusiasm for the faith. I am a slacker and would like to have some accountability too. I am not as techno savvy as some of you and have no blog and barely read a few blogs even rarely. But this will be different as it is a discussion forum for us even at night when we can't leave the kids, but they are asleep. I have two sons 6 and 2. I am a cradle Catholic with poor catechetical background and my husband is non-Catholic.

Can't wait!

Hi, I'm Marcia. I have 3 kids and 6step children. I blog at www.hometolearn.typepad.com
I grew up Catholic from early grade school, but drifted from my faith. I am back, but need a little guidance - I think this will be a great start!

Hi all - I'm Laura Jeanne, a friend of Andrea's thanks to our homeschool group... Cradle Catholic who has read bits of the Catechism here and there, mainly to check out what the Church really says (due to questions / doubts planted by my non-Catholic friends and family). It's time I really familiarized myself with the basics so I can know and share the faith I'm trying to profess and live. Thank God for mercy! :-) We have four children from 7 on down. Looking so forward to this - Thanks, Andrea, and all who're joining in!

I found you on 4Real Forums where I go from time to time to read about the Domestic church. This is a wonderful idea and I'm glad I found you at the start of this journey.

Hi,
I'm Ti(tee) mother of 3, I don't homeschool, actually public school. My priest suggested I pick up the bulletin for our sister parish that he sees me at from time to time and your blog site was in there. What a great idea to read the catechism that I purchased a couple months ago. I thought it was about time I read what my religion is trully about. I'm a cradle catholic and either need to refresh or actually learn what it is all about so that I can teach my children the true teachings of the church.
Thanks Andrea for giving me the little push that I needed.
