Week 15: Passages 702-747
Due to some family circumstances blogging will be postponed for a few weeks. I'll just post the weekly readings, no notes. Feel free to comment as always. Talk amongst yourselves! I hope to be back soon.
CCC 708 - God gave the letter of Law to lead His people towards Christ. But the Laws powerlessness to save man sparks the desire of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is the anointing of Christ and he pours out the Spirit among His members to nourish and heal, to give them life. Christ communicates His Holy Spirit to the members of His body through the Church's sacraments.
CCC 721-725 - Mary is the masterwork of the Son and Holy Spirit. Oh Holy Mary, mother of God!
My God, I firmly believe that Thou art here present and I humbly adore Thee in union with the angels and saints. I am sorry for having sinned, because Thou art infinitely good and sin displeases Thee.I love Thee above all things and with my whole heart. I offer Thee all that I am and all that I have, my soul with all its faculties, my body with all its senses.Enlighten my understanding and inflame my will, that I may know and do what is pleasing to Thee. I beseech Thee to direct all the powers of my soul, all my thoughts and affections to Thy service and Thy glory as well as to my own sanctification and salvation.
About this blog
I am a wife and homeschooling mom of four and Catholic convert who has always had the good intention of reading through the Catechism, but haven't been able to pull it off. This blog is my accountability. I hope you'll join me as I read my way through the CCC from April 2008 to Easter 2009! I will post weekly assigned readings and my notes/muddled mommy brain thoughts on them. I welcome (and beg for!) comments and guest postings! Please join me on this exciting journey into the beautiful teachings of our faith!
